What are the keys to site traffic? Is it SEO, site ranking, social networking, or Google and site optimization? I believe that all of these are important. After several months since the launch of the Atmenow website, all of these have played a part in bringing visitors to our website. Search engines generate 60% of the visits, direct links #2 with 12.5%, RSS with 8.75%, and social networking with 8%. These results are actual results of our website using Google Analytics.

I share this with you to show you that search engines by far generate the most traffic. Seo and search engine ranking are very important to your website. Also those who find you by search engines also spend more time on your website. But how do you accomplish this, how do you get noticed. This is probably the greatest challenge for any website. With millions of websites on the internet, how do you compete for the traffic?

I believe it is networking. Social networking has become huge on the internet like Facebook and Twitter just to name couple. I have used these extensively myself with success. But the networking I am talking about is websites networking together and in doing so, improving everyone's SEO, ranking, and traffic to all. The key here is helping your website by helping others. We have set up an extensive plan to do just that, using social networking as well as our own site to promote other members of our network of websites. As website owners join our network this will promote our website and in turn we will actively promote theirs. The beauty of this, it doesn't have to cost anyone money, maybe just a little time and effort.

This effort is not a get rich program like so many software programs for sell promise, I have tried a few and they fall short of their promises. It is an effort to join together to help each other. One thing I have learned, nothing happens automatically, it takes and investment of time and effort, but by uniting that effort can be multiplied many fold and as a result, everybody wins.
